One time, there was a youth of noble descent who fell in love with the girl child the family maid. Unfortunately, their relationship is not approved by the family of the youth. He was then married to a girl who are both descendants of royalty. Because of a broken heart, the girl child maid then committed suicide.
Unfortunately, the girl's mother was in fact a witch. He then condemned the royal family. Children born to women from their families will have a pig snout and a new curse will go away when the girl bermoncong pig managed to get a true love of a blue-blooded man, too.
Girl hit by the curse named Penelope Wilhern (Christina Ricci). Since childhood, he was hidden by her family. Penelope is a state of disgrace to that noble family. After Penelope adults, both parents then tried to find a mate for Penelope in the hope that the curse will end.
Unfortunately every blue-blooded young man who reunited with Penelope always ran because of fear. Penelope misfortune was heard by a reporter named Lemon (Peter Dinklage). Lemon intends to take a photograph of Penelope for she can fit in the paper. Lemon intends to take advantage of the misfortune of Penelope.
In an effort to take photos of Penelope, the Lemon met with Max Campion (James McAvoy) who are running out of money at the gambling table. Lemon bid welcomed by Max who need money. Did Max take a photo of Penelope? Or Penelope already found the love of his life and apart from the curse of shame.
