American Museum of Natural History were undergoing renovations so all the inhabitants of the museum will be moved to the Smithsonian Institute, the world's largest museum located in Washington. Daeley Larry (Ben Stiller) was selected as the officer who escorted the transfer of the goods because the museum earlier achievements.

But the situation became chaotic because Dexter capuchin monkey steals the tablets Ahkmenrah to the Smithsonian. So that all the inhabitants of the largest museums in the world was suddenly moved to live. Larry must deal with former Egyptian Pharaoh who plans to rule the world with Ahkmenrah tablets.
