This film tells the story of four children, brothers Peter (Skandar Keynes), Susan (Anna Popplewell), Edmund (William Moseley) and Lucy (Georgie Henley) at the time of World War II. During the last war they were forced to flee into the home of Professor Kirke (Jim Broadbent) is located in a remote village. Home of Professor Kirke in the form of a huge castle.
One time when they play hide and seek, Lucy accidentally hiding in a clothes closet that it is a portal to another world that the world of Narnia. State Narnia occupied by wild beasts that can speak human dwarf, human body of horse, and a giant who was condemned to the ice by an evil witch named Jadis (Tilda Swinton). Later revealed that Jadis would like to dominate Narnia forever to reduce the curse of eternal snow that enveloped the world.
After a few hours, Lucy returned to the wardrobe room, and oddly enough when it came out of the closet, Peter had just finished counting. Then Lucy tells his story, which of course they do not believe.
Finally, four of them into the closet and visit the portal Tumus. But they only found the house a mess and Tumnus in the circumstances they find flyers explaining that Tumnus was arrested by the police was a witch because it was considered disloyal to help Lucy.
They then met with the beaver that explains what really happened in Narnia. The arrival of these four it is foretold in an ancient poem. Aslan (Liam Neeson), the supreme ruler of the land of Narnia The Lion, also rumored to have appeared again to confront the witch.
Called by Aslan, they were together against the forces of evil White Witch Jadis. Will Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy to quell Jadis and remove the curse of Narnia?
